Our Commitment
FUNCTNL is for every body. We want functnl.co.uk to be usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. We are committed to making our site accessible in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
Built-In Features
This site is designed and built with accessibility in mind:
- Semantic HTML with logical heading structure and landmarks
- Full keyboard navigation, with visible focus states
- High-contrast black text on light backgrounds
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images
- Text that scales with your browser settings without breaking layouts
- Reduced-motion support: animations are disabled if your device requests it
- Forms with clear labels and plain-language error messages
Known Limitations
We’re honest, like our labels. Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible: for example, some older product photography may lack detailed text alternatives, and some third-party embedded tools (such as our checkout, provided by Shopify) are outside our direct control. We note these here and are working on them.
