Halal Supplements

1 product

Halal supplements from FUNCTNL start with one product we can stand behind fully: Halal Bone Broth Powder, which is halal certified. Each 20g serving gives 19g protein and 17g collagen from beef bone broth, dairy free.

We only add a product here once it holds halal certification, so this collection will stay small and honest. Free UK delivery on orders over £40.

Halal guide

Halal,done honestly.

  1. What makes a supplement halal?

A halal supplement contains nothing haram and is made without contact with haram ingredients. The usual concerns are gelatine capsules or coatings from pork or non-halal sources, alcohol used in flavourings or extracts, and animal ingredients from unknown origins. A certificate from a recognised halal body checks all of this for you.

  2. Our halal certified protein

Halal Bone Broth Powder is our certified product and the reason this collection exists. It is beef bone broth protein with 19g protein and 17g collagen per serving, and no artificial colouring, flavouring, sweeteners or emulsifiers. Protein contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass. If you are comparing halal protein supplements, it is also dairy and lactose free. Read our halal bone broth powder guide.

  3. How we label halal across the range

We are careful with the word halal. Only certified products appear in this collection. Some other FUNCTNL products are halal friendly but not certified, and we will add products here only when they are certified. Read our promise on labels and halal.

  4. Halal supplements in the UK: what to check

When you shop for halal supplements in the UK, look for the certifier’s name on the pack or website, ask for the certificate if it is not shown, and read the full ingredient list, including the capsule shell. If a brand calls a whole range halal, ask which products are actually certified.

Halal supplements FAQs

Questions, answered honestly.

The things people ask most about halal supplements. If yours isn’t here, we reply to every message.

Ask us anything
01What are halal supplements?

Halal supplements are products whose ingredients and production meet Islamic dietary law. That means no pork or pork derivatives, no alcohol and no animal ingredients from non-halal slaughter, including gelatine. Certification by a recognised halal body is the clearest way to confirm it.

02Are vitamins halal?

Vitamins as nutrients are permissible, but a vitamin supplement is only halal if everything around them is too. Check for gelatine capsules or coatings, alcohol-based flavourings and animal-derived ingredients. Halal vitamins usually carry a certificate or use plant-based capsules and clearly sourced ingredients.

03Is vitamin D3 halal?

It depends on the source and processing. Most vitamin D3 is made from lanolin, a fat from sheep’s wool, while some comes from fish oil or lichen. Many halal certifiers accept these sources when processing and carriers are halal, so look for certification or ask the brand.

04Is gelatine in supplements halal?

Only if it comes from a halal source. Much of the gelatine used for capsules and coatings is made from pork or from cattle not slaughtered to halal standards, so it is not halal unless certified. Plant-based capsules, such as HPMC, avoid the question.

05Why are only some products in this collection?

Because we only list products that hold halal certification. Halal friendly is not the same as certified, so we keep those products out of this collection rather than blur the line. When another product is certified, we will add it here.
